Rates
Increasing for Y2K
The Florida Dept. of Insurance has issued
premium rate increases for all Florida worker’s compensation insurance
companies. The new rates
are effective for all insureds at their next policy renewal, beginning
January 1, 2000. The
rates increased anywhere from 0 - 12% depending on the classification
code. All rates and premium
discounts used to determine worker’s compensation premium are set by
the State, and must be used by all insurance companies.
Experience modifications applied to your premium are also
calculated by a formula determined by the State.
Look
for Renewal Packets in the Mail
All CHAPP accounts will receive a renewal
packet in the mail in the next 10 days.
The envelope will include new Compliance Poster labels to place
on your posters and a Rate Information Sheet that will show the exact
rates you will be charged for worker’s compensation insurance for the
upcoming year. The same
rate information and new Premium Reporting Sheets will also be sent to
your bookkeeper or accountant.
All necessary
worker’s compensation information for your policy renewals will
automatically be sent to the Dept. of Labor to update your crew cards.
Certificates of Insurance from FCCI will also be sent to all of
your certificate holders.
Letters
From Other Insurance Agents
Many of our accounts have told us you are
receiving letters from Ewing, Blackwelder & Duce concerning your
worker’s compensation insurance.
This letter has nothing to do with CHAPP, Inc. and our move to
FCCI. To continue your
coverage with us, disregard the letter and anything you receive
concerning FFVA. We
appreciate your loyalty and support in allowing us to continue writing
your worker’s compensation insurance.
If you ever have any questions about anything you receive, please
call us.
Final
1999 Premium Payments
Make sure all payroll paid in 1999 is reported
by January 15 to avoid being charged the higher 2000 rates
on payroll you had for November and December of 1999.
Have
You Received Your FFVA Dividend Checks?
Please let us know if you were promised a
dividend from FFVA’s 1997 fund year and still haven’t received your
money.
